National Girls and Women in Sports Day

The URI Athletic Department is celebrating its 4th Annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day by commemorating the achievements of local girls and women in sports.

There is a free multi-sport clinic given by URI Women’s Athletic Programs for children ages 12-and-under. All clinic attendees will receive a certificate of participation and a goodie bag as well as a FREE ticket to the 2pm game, where the Lady Rams will play La Salle University at the Ryan Center. The FREE ticket and may be obtained by visiting The Ryan Center box office on game day or calling 874-RAMS. At halftime, influential Rhode Island women role models will be honored as the 2012 Class of “Rhody Role Models”.

When: Saturday, February 11th, 2012
Clinic Registration: 11:30am
Clinic: 12-1pm at the Mackal Fieldhouse
Game: 2pm at The Ryan Center (URI vs. La Salle)

Help support URI Athletics as they recognize the achievements of girls and women in sport and in life. This clinic will introduce successful women in positions of influence to young women and help in encouraging them in making a difference, persevering their dreams, and letting them know what women are capable of accomplishing.

Return completed registration form to Matt Johnson, One Lincoln Almond Plaza, Kingston, RI 02881 or bring on the day of the clinic.
